Bridgens joins the Varsity Blues

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that RHP Michael Bridgens (Burlington, ON) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at the University of Toronto (OUA - Toronto, ON) studying as apart of Rotman Commerce.  Bridgens joined the Ontario Blue Jays after his 16U season and has been an integral part of the 17U, 18U and Collegiate Teams after transitioning from behind the plate to on the mound. Bridgens is a graduate of Kings Christian Collegiate and has achieved at a high level both on and off the field during his high school career.

Michael will join the Varsity Blues this Fall in what will be an unprecedented time, with hopes of getting on the field at some point during the year. Bridgens will look to impact the U of T pitching rotation whenever they get back on the field in hopes of getting the Varsity Blues back to the ways of 2017, when they took home an OUA Championship.

Bridgens will be one of many former Ontario Blue Jays who have made their way to the Varsity Blues during their careers.
