Joe Ellison has been with the Ontario Blue Jays since he joined as a player in 2005 after growing up playing for the Mississauga Southwest Twins and Mississauga North Tigers.
After graduating the program in 2009, he moved on to Cisco College (TX) returning that summer to serve as a Pitching Coach under current St. Louis Cardinals Bullpen Coach, Jamie Pogue. Joe continued his playing career transferring to Connors State College in Warner, OK where he was named Second Team All-Conference Pitcher before transferring again, this time to South Dakota State University. Joe's playing career ended after suffering a shoulder injury playing for the Kitchener Panthers of the Intercounty Baseball League.
Joe began his full-time coaching career in the Fall of 2012, joining OBJ as the Pitching Coordinator and 18U Assistant Coach before transitioning into a variety of roles over the next decade or so before moving into his current role as 18U Head Coach and General Manager.
In addition to OBJ, Joe was apart of three Intercounty Baseball League Championships as an Assistant Coach for the Barrie Baycats from 2014 to 2016.
