Jared Kennedy joined the Ontario Blue Jays in the Summer of 2020 after working for Canisius College in 2019.
Jared grew up in Calgary, before playing at Vauxhall Academy and Head Coach Les McTavish in southern Alberta. After two years as a Jet, he accepted a scholarship at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. As a Golden Griff, Jared played four seasons as a Left-Handed Pitcher, finishing his career with a 4-2 record and 3.82 ERA over 92 innings pitched, striking out 81 batters. While at Canisius, he was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
After his graduation, Jared stepped into the role of Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at Canisius College where he worked with various Golden Griff teams overseeing their athletic development through strength and conditioning. He also oversaw the Canisius Athletic Performance Internship Program.
Off-the-field, Jared worked as Assistant to the Director of Prep Baseball Report Alberta in 2018, scheduling events, writing reports and evaluating players across Alberta.
